Our Story
Misty Pines Cottage started in 2016 as a single stone-and-timber room built for our own family holidays. Word travelled faster than we expected, and the cottage slowly grew into what it is today — three rooms, a living room fireplace, and a garden that spills straight into the tea estate next door.
We still run it ourselves. That means breakfast is cooked to order, the fire is lit by hand each evening, and if you want directions to the quiet trail nobody puts on a map, we can point the way.
Real Fires, Every Night
No electric heaters pretending to be cosy — a wood fire is lit in the living room each evening.
Grown on the Doorstep
Herbs and vegetables from our own garden find their way into breakfast whenever they're in season.
Built for the Hills
Sitting at 1,868 m, the cottage was designed around the view, not against the climate.
Estate Tea, Always
Every stay includes tea grown a short walk down the hill — poured, not packeted.
